Nowadays I write poems and sometimes they become songs. I've played blues, folk and rock music with friends and bands called the Remaindermen and Carnival Haggis, and still do sometimes, mostly with a guitar. Good times are traveling to new places, meeting new friends and seeing new things, and traveling to old places, meeting old friends and seeing old things, and coming home to Miami and the Jersey Shore. My new album is called Bungalows and Broken Hearts.
Thoughts and Prayers
The mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio led to Thoughts and Prayers, a musical response to the tired excuses for inaction. The song's hard-driving drums and guitar work are paired with a harmonica solo that recalls both Dylan folk and Led Zeppelin. The lyrics speak for all who are frustrated by inaction in the face of mass attacks throughout the United States.
